Democratic League of Kosovo MP Janina Ymeri spoke about "conditionality through blackmail, through threats", while commenting in a Facebook post on the recent discussions regarding the President's issue.
She wrote that this method is now being used by Prime Minister Albin Kurti, likely referring to his meeting today with LDK leader Lumir Abdixhiku.
"Many things in Kosovo are conditioned by blackmail, by threats, we hear this even outside the courts, but now Kosovo has reached the point where the Prime Minister uses this method even for the election of the President. Either my party candidate or elections. Either 100% Kurti & Co. Power or Elections," she wrote.
Ymeri says she will not "submit" to this "condition".
"However, it is not just me who will not submit to this condition, but a vote for or against as a quorum by an opposition MP who wants any party for a candidate of the ruling party is a murder of democracy and freedom in decision-making," she wrote.
"Neither Glauk Konjufca nor any other party serial number (as Kurti has presented them) should take the position of President," the MP added.
Kurti and Abdixhiku met today for the third time to discuss the issue of electing the President.
The LDK parliamentary group held a meeting after this meeting where it was reported that Kurti presented his idea to nominate Konjufca for President.
