One of the athletics superpowers in speed competitions, Jamaica, returned to where it belongs by triumphing on the track in the city of Gaborone, the capital of Botswana in Africa.
The Jamaican foursome initially set a time of 39”99, and improved significantly, winning again with a time of 39”62.
The previous world record was held by Canada with 40.30.
The Jamaican team was composed of Akim Blake, Tina Clayton, Kadrian Goldson and Tia Clayton.
The twin sisters Clayton look like future sprint queens, being only 21 years old.
In the race held in Botswana, Canada arrived after the Caribbean team, writes abcnews, the former world record holder with a time of 40"23, also improving her previous record.
The United States of America completed the podium by taking third place and taking the bronze medals with a score of 40.33.
An incredibly fast race, and that means this record may not last long.
