The initiative of the Democratic Union for Integration Branch in Çair to create a local "SPAK" against corruption has prompted reactions from the VALEN Coalition.
VLEN says that the initiative should be accompanied by concrete actions and not remain just declarative, describing it as a propaganda effort.
According to them, if transparency and accountability are truly aimed at, the investigations should start with the leaders of the DUI themselves, to prove that this is a serious and impartial process towards all officials, without exception.
"The DUI in Chair is loudly announcing the formation of a local "SPAK", as if it had discovered "America". But the question that immediately arises is: will this SPAK also capture its own leadership? Or is it just another theater to deceive the citizens? VALEN welcomes this DUI "SPAK" and suggests that, if it is truly for action and not for spectacle, it should start investigating precisely these names. The first thing it should do is establish communication with the SPAK of Albania and request the extradition of Artan Grubi.", – said the VALENT Coalition.
Days ago, the Democratic Union for Integration branch in Çair established a local “SPAK” as an anti-corruption mechanism. According to the announcement, this structure will monitor unauthorized construction and the work of municipal bodies for urban planning violations.
DUI called on citizens to denounce any abuse of power.
