As has been reported for weeks, the English midfielder has decided to undergo surgery on the problem he has been suffering from since November 2023, when he dislocated his shoulder in a match against Rayo Vallecano. Since then, he has played on several occasions with a supporting role, enduring the pain throughout the season. Now, after the end of the season, he has chosen to definitively resolve the problem with surgery, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.

However, despite the official first date, Bellingham is expected to be out until October or even November. He could miss up to 12 LaLiga matches, including El Clásico against Barcelona on October 26 at the Santiago Bernabéu.
