Real Madrid's journey to the 2025 Club World Cup ended with a heavy 4–0 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the semi-finals.

This defeat ends the season for “Los Blancos”, but marks a new beginning for Jude Bellingham, who will finally undergo shoulder surgery.

As has been reported for weeks, the English midfielder has decided to undergo surgery on the problem he has been suffering from since November 2023, when he dislocated his shoulder in a match against Rayo Vallecano. Since then, he has played on several occasions with a supporting role, enduring the pain throughout the season. Now, after the end of the season, he has chosen to definitively resolve the problem with surgery, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.

The operation is expected to keep him out for 3 to 4 months, depending on how his recovery progresses. As a result, Bellingham will miss the start of the 2025/26 season with Real Madrid.

LaLiga is scheduled to start on August 16, but Real Madrid could request a postponement of the opening match, in accordance with the rules set by the Spanish Footballers' Association (AFE), due to their commitment to the Club World Cup.

However, despite the official first date, Bellingham is expected to be out until October or even November. He could miss up to 12 LaLiga matches, including El Clásico against Barcelona on October 26 at the Santiago Bernabéu. He will also miss the first four group stage matches in the Champions League, as well as England's international breaks in September and October.

Bellingham's absence is undoubtedly a blow to Real Madrid, but the club remains confident in the player's professionalism and dedication, believing that he will do everything to accelerate his recovery and return as soon as possible under the guidance of Xabi Alonso./Express newspaper/
