The Basic Public Prosecutor's Office for the Prosecution of Organized Crime and Corruption, acting on a criminal complaint, issued an order for the implementation of an investigative procedure against three persons from Skopje. There is a well-founded suspicion that the suspects have committed the criminal offense of "criminal association" and the criminal offense of "unauthorized production, possession, brokering and trade in weapons or explosives", reports Portalb.mk.
In the framework of the pre-investigation procedure, it has been determined that there is a suspicion that the individuals are organizing to take revenge on their brothers who were accused and convicted of the criminal offense of “terrorist organization” last year. According to the evidence collected so far, the suspects acted in an organized and coordinated manner, as a group with a common ideological commitment. There are suspicions that activities were undertaken to collect funds from within the country and abroad and that they were used for propaganda, as well as for the supply of weapons.
By order of the Basic Criminal Court of Skopje, and under the leadership of the public prosecutor, yesterday the Public Prosecutor's Office NKOK conducted searches in houses and other premises in several locations in Skopje. During the searches, firearms, electronic devices and other material evidence were found and seized.
Upon the proposal of the competent public prosecutor, the pre-trial judge ordered that the suspects be held in custody for 30 days, due to the existence of legal grounds provided for in the Law on Criminal Procedure.
