The Ministry of Internal Affairs announces that in the last 10 days, 6.264 traffic violations have been registered, while 151 people have been arrested for careless driving. In the period 01.03.2026 - 10.03.2026, out of a total of 6.264 fines issued, 1.800 violations relate to drivers who did not respect the speed limit.
Of the 151 people arrested:
32 for driving under the influence of alcohol,
1 for speeding in a residential area,
3 for speeding outside a residential area,
50 for driving without a driver's license,
12 for previous driving ban.
In the same period, 53 vehicles were seized under Article 300-b of the Criminal Code.
According to police statistics, during the 10 days of March the following were recorded:
1.477 violations for incorrect parking,
110 sanctions for driving under the influence of alcohol.
Also:
43 motorcycle drivers have been sanctioned for not wearing helmets,
238 pedestrians and 1 electric scooter user were sanctioned,
754 traffic participants did not use their seat belts.
According to the Law on Vehicles:
67 vehicles were removed from circulation due to lack of registration,
79 for technical defect,
25 drivers have been sanctioned for failing to comply with the rules on tinting windows (film).
