Singer Ilir Shaqiri has been honored in Albania.
Shaqiri appeared emotional in his speech, as he said that he shares this gratitude with the liberators, alluding to the KLA leaders in The Hague to whom he has also dedicated songs.
"Three decades ago, on this stage, I performed a song titled I am Europe. Today, every day, I see Albania more and more, it becomes a true lady in the eyes of Europe and the world. I feel very honored. I want to share this gratitude, this honor, with the generation that shaped and made the freedom and independence of the Republic of Kosovo. I want to share it with the liberators of Kosovo," said Shaqiri.
