Political analyst and former member of the Kosovo Assembly, Ilir Deda, has criticized the current government and the political situation in the country, stating that the governments led by Albin Kurti have not had the necessary skills for effective governance.

On the show "Adresa", Deda said that he had previously described the government as "mediocre", adding that the main problem in Kosovo remains the lack of the right people in key positions.

"The government requires a different set of skills, which the current prime minister's governments have not had. Two years ago, I said that Albin Kurti has a mediocre government, mediocre Balkan standards," Deda declared.

He said that in Kosovo, the practice of people in power not engaging the best professionals in state institutions continues.

"Kosovo has a problem where powerful people don't hire the best people and put them in the right positions. Because of this, we collectively suffer," he said.

According to Deda, citizens have lost hope for change and politics is being dominated by anger and hatred.

"Today people vote with anger, with rage and with hatred. This is not politics," he said.

Furthermore, he also criticized political entities for re-nomining persons who, according to him, have been involved in affairs and manipulations.

Deda mentioned the Vetevendosje Movement, the Democratic Party of Kosovo, and the Democratic League of Kosovo, saying that these parties "have failed the exam" due to the re-nomination of people with problematic pasts.

"We see Vetëvendosje, PDK and LDK failing the exam because people who we have seen in scandals and vote theft have re-nominated," he declared.

In the end, Deda said that the biggest test will be the citizen himself in the upcoming elections.

"The most painful thing is that on June 7th, our people will fail the exam," he concluded.
