The Football Federation of Kosovo has taken a disciplinary decision against the official representative of KF Drenica, Granit Koci, after incidents that occurred in the match against KF Dukagjini.
According to the match officials' report, the incident began in the 34th minute, when Koci, due to opposing the referee's decisions, entered the field of play. For this action he was punished with a straight red card for unsportsmanlike conduct. While leaving the field, he also threatened the first assistant referee.
The events continued even after the end of the first half. Although he had been expelled from the match, Koci entered the referees' locker room corridors, where, according to the official report, he cursed, insulted and threatened the main referee along with several other people, using the words: “If we don’t win, you won’t get out of Skenderaj alive.”
Moreover, in the second half of the match he managed to approach the touchline again and continued to protest against the referee's decisions, despite being shown a red card. After the intervention of the responsible persons, he left the stadium.
Based on Article 14, paragraph 1 and 2, points A and D, as well as Article 15, paragraph 1, point J of the Disciplinary Regulations of the Football Federation of Kosovo, the Disciplinary Committee has decided that Granit Koci be sentenced to a three-month ban from participating in any sporting activity organized by the FFK.
