The Speaker of the RMV Assembly, Afrim Gashi, however, hopes that an agreement will be reached for WLEN to become a party, along with the principles of the other coalition parties.
Otherwise, Alternativa will not be a coalition partner of the VALEN party and he will resign from the position of Speaker of the Parliament, reports Sloboden Peçat.
During the transformation of the VLEN coalition into a party, two principles are key – equality and consensual decision-making, assesses the Speaker of the Parliament and former leader of the Alternative, Afrim Gashi. This means that the Alternative does not agree with the offer of the leaders of the Besa Movement and the Democratic Movement, Bilall Kasami and Izet Mexhiti within the framework of the VLEN, that this entity be transformed from a coalition into a party, have two chairmen, while their parties will each have 35 percent participation in the party bodies of the VLEN, while the remaining 30 percent will be divided between the Alternative, the faction of the Alliance for Albanians led by Deputy Prime Minister Arben Fetai, then "Vetëvendosje" represented by Bekim Qoku, as well as the Arbëria Movement.
If all these positions are taken into account, Gashi nevertheless hopes that an agreement will be reached for VALEN to become a party. Otherwise, he is adamant that Alternativa will not be a coalition partner of the VALEN party and in that case he will resign from the position of Speaker of the Assembly.
The Alliance for Albanians faction, led by Fetai, is also against the offer for Kasam and Mexhiti to co-lead the VALEN party.
