Turkish music legend İbrahim Tatlıses has been discharged from Acıbadem Altunizade Hospital, where he had been hospitalized since April 7 and underwent gallbladder surgery.
While confirming that the surgery went well, the artist made strong statements about the tense relationships with some of his children.
Tatlıses revealed that, by his own will, some of them were not allowed to visit him during his hospital stay. “God bless my children, but not all of them. Tuğçe is my soul… and I have deleted the letter ‘A’ from the alphabet,” he said, hinting at the rift with his son Ahmet Tatlıses. According to the singer, their behavior was not at the level he expected: “If my father were in this state, I would never leave him alone.”
He was even harsher when he spoke about his wealth. Tatlıses declared that he did not intend to leave anything to his heirs, as everything would go to the Turkish state. “Not a penny for them. My father did not leave me any wealth, I built everything myself. I use it as I wish. The greatest legacy I have left them is my name, which opens every door, but they do not know how to appreciate it,” he emphasized.
Finally, the artist also made an appeal for the construction of a new hospital in his hometown, Şanlıurfa, while announcing the release of his new song "Baboş" this week. He also commented on sports, predicting that Fenerbahçe will emerge victorious in the next derby. /GazetaExpress/
