The Kosovo Police Inspectorate has arrested a police officer for the criminal offense of ''organizing pyramid schemes and illegal gambling''.
The IPK announced that the official was arrested in flagrante delicto, and that he is suspected of having accepted the sum of 2000 euros as part of a general sum in connection with the criminal offense, Gazeta Express reports.

On 16.04.2026, PIK, with the authorization of the Basic Prosecution Office-Ferizaj, conducted an investigation with covert measures, simulation of corruption, where a police officer from the Štrpce Police Station, Ferizaj Regional Police Directorate was arrested in flagrante delicto after allegedly accepting the amount of 2000 euros as part of a general amount in connection with the criminal offense "Organization of pyramid schemes and illegal gambling".
By decision of the Prosecutor of the Basic Prosecution Office-Ferizaj, the suspect Police Officer was remanded in custody for 48 hours in connection with the criminal offense of "Organization of pyramid schemes and illegal gambling", Article 294, of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo.
