Bahri Mblloshmi, the person who first found the 12-year-old girl abused by her father in the village of Sheqisht, Fier, told Euronews Albania journalist Matilda Braho in an interview that the minor had entered the yard of his house in the early hours of the morning.
He said that the minor was scared and had told him that she did not want to return to her home and that she wanted to have another family.
"It was 6:00 when I saw a child on the balcony. I asked him who he was and he said I jumped out the window. He asked, are you a boy? I'm a girl, he said. Who cut your hair? Dad. I don't want to go home anymore, I want another family. I called the sons' daughters-in-law. I saw that she was scared, at first I thought maybe... He asked me which of these girls you have? I said both. What a good father, he said. He kept saying I don't want to go home. I told them to keep the girl and I went to the village headman, I said she's scared. The police came late, they were looking for her because her father had reported her," he said.
