Miri recounted tonight his beginnings in the Albanian music scene, the creation of West Side Family, and the untimely loss of Dr. Flori.
Miri said that the impetus for opening the door to his musical career was Flori when they were teenagers. He said that it all started with a tape recorder and a cassette, something that later turned into the well-known group for the Albanian public, West Side Family.
The resident further recounted the moment he learned of Dr. Flori's loss, which he said was one of the darkest days of his life.
"I grew up like any child of that time with economic difficulties. My adolescence was spent at the Petronini Luarasi high school, where I met two people who changed my life, Landi and Dr. Flori. We had a tape recorder and a cassette and we sang. Flori was the one who sang and wrote the lyrics. One day Flori took me to his house and said he wanted to tell me something.
The song that opened the door to my career was Tik Tak. The first song we recorded was this and it cost 30 thousand old lekë. Then the story continues with Landi, since he also sang and we liked his voice, I said to Flori why not ask Landi to join us and be two hip-hop artists and a singer. We told him, he accepted and we tried it with two other songs. We decided to be a group called West Side Family. Family because the key word is that the three of us will be together forever. We participated in the magical song with the song "message".
"I was in Germany when I found out about Flori's loss, November 17th. The first person I called was Landi, he picked up the phone and told me that unfortunately it's true. It was one of the darkest days. Flori is a source of inspiration for generations, and one of the reasons for the restart of West Side Family was his brother, Alban Kondi. Albani told us to turn the pain into strength, we never thought that Flori was not with us, but he is with us and in us," said Miri.
"I always think when I dream about him, I have him as a friend in my heart all my life. I would ask God why you took Florin into your arms so soon because we still needed him. His loss has made us stronger for the future challenges in our lives," Miri said after his confession.
After the confession, the resident was transferred to the Big Brother VIP studio, where he was surprised by Roland Hysi, friend and member of the West Side Family, as well as singer and former Big Brother VIP resident, Vesa Smolica. The three of them performed the new West Side Family song "Lies" together.
