"I have won my freedom forever and no matter where I am, no one can ever take it away from me!" These words were repeated twice by former Kosovo President Hashim Thaçi to Edi Rama, according to the Albanian Prime Minister, who announced the phone call.
Rama wrote on Facebook that this phone call he received from Thaçi was "emotionally difficult for him," given that he is in custody at the Special Court in The Hague, accused of war crimes and crimes against humanity.
But he said that Thaçi was "as calm as ever in his voice."
