Kosovo national team striker Vedat Muriqi has made history at Mallorca.
With his two goals against Rayo Vallecanos on Sunday, the Kosovo striker has become Mallorca's all-time top scorer in La Liga.
Muriqi has reached the figure of 55 goals, surpassing Samuel Eto'o's 54 goals with the Mallorca shirt in La Liga.
Within four minutes, "Pirate" scored two goals that gave the Mallorca team a 2:0 lead in the important match in the race for survival.
Mallorca defeated Rayo Vallecano 3:0, in the 31st week.
Muriqi is proud of himself for having surpassed a legend like Eto'o in goals.
"Every goal is part of my debt to this shirt; making history is special, but there is still a lot to do - surpassing a great name like Samuel Eto'o is an honor, but records are never achieved alone, so I thank all my teammates and everyone who believed in me. Thank you to my family, all the staff, the club workers and the entire island, without you it would not have been possible," he wrote on Instagram.
Muriqi has also entered strongly in the race for the best scorer in La Liga for the current edition.
The Kosovo striker, with 21 goals scored in the current edition of La Liga, is only two goals behind Real Madrid's French star, Kylian Mbappe, who holds first place in the scoring rankings with 23 goals./Express newspaper/
