In the parliamentary elections in Hungary, with 21.54% of votes counted, preliminary results show a clear lead for the Tisza Party, The Guardian reported, Gazeta Express reports.
According to the current results:
Tisza Party: 128 seats
Fidesz–KDNP: 62 seats
Our Homeland Movement: 8 seats
The Fidesz party, led by Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, currently ranks second, significantly behind the opposition.
If this trend is confirmed by the end of the count, the Tisza Party would secure a comfortable parliamentary majority in the 199-seat Assembly, paving the way for a change of power after more than a decade of dominance by Fidesz.
