A new Netflix documentary has put Hulk Hogan's life back in the spotlight, shedding light on the most difficult periods he experienced, including his battle with chronic pain and addiction to hard drugs.
In the documentary "Hulk Hogan: Real American," which includes his last interview before his death in July 2025 from a heart attack, the former wrestling star openly talks about his use of fentanyl.
He says that, after his divorce from Linda Hogan in 2009, he faced a dark period, both emotionally and financially.
During his time with TNA (Total Nonstop Action Wrestling), Hogan admitted that he was no longer able to perform at the required level due to serious health problems.
The constant pain pushed him towards using fentanyl, one of the most powerful painkillers, and he confesses that he had reached alarming levels of use.
"The pharmacist told me he had never seen a person take so much," he says in the documentary, emphasizing the danger this situation posed.
Hulk Hogan also reveals that the pain was so severe that he couldn't lie down, spending entire nights sitting in a chair.
His last appearance in the ring was in 2012, and a year later he finally left TNA (Total Nonstop Action Wrestling), closing an important chapter of his career. /GazetaExpress/
