The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of Albania, Ferit Hoxha, will make his first official visit to Brussels in his capacity as head of Albanian diplomacy, on March 10–11, 2026.
During this visit, Minister Hoxha will be received by the Vice-President of the European Commission and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, as well as by the Commissioner for Enlargement, Marta Kos.
The focus of the meetings will be the growing partnership between Albania and the European Union, as well as the commitment to further progress in meeting the ambitious calendar for the conclusion of membership negotiations by 2027.
At the invitation of the European External Action Service (EEAS), Hoxha will be among the keynote speakers at the panel titled "Strengthening the EU through Enlargement", within the framework of the Ambassadors' Conference.
Discussions will focus on the ways in which the European Union enlargement process can strengthen the security and stability of the Union, as well as on the role of enlargement as a long-term investment in the future of the region.
Hoxha will also participate in the ceremony organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Albania in Belgium to honor Albanian language teachers in Belgium and Luxembourg, reports Tv Klan.
