Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Albrim Hoxha, announced an investment of 12 million denars within the framework of the Rural Development Program 2024, with the aim of strengthening the agri-food sector in the country.
According to him, the project is being implemented in collaboration with the University of Tetova and includes the modernization of laboratory infrastructure through measure 1 "Technical support in agriculture and rural development", covering 100 percent of the costs.
Hoxha emphasized that the investment includes the supply of modern LC-MS/MS equipment for the detection of pesticide residues in food, as well as the training of professional staff in their use.
He added that this project creates concrete conditions for professional support for farmers, increases the competitiveness of the food industry, and strengthens institutional capacities for food control and safety.
"This is not just an investment in equipment, but in consumer safety, the quality of local production and approximation to European standards, directly connecting science with practice," declared Hoxha.
The Ministry of Agriculture emphasizes that they remain committed to continuing with strategic investments that contribute to rural development and the protection of citizens' health.
