Having been linked with Inter for months, Manchester United striker Rasmus Højlund has now become a target for their city rivals AC Milan.
According to Sky Sport Italia's transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, the Rossoneri have approached Manchester United over the last 24 hours to inquire about the possibility of signing Højlund.
The Dane had long been rumored to be moving to the other side of San Siro, but Inter have long since given up on the idea, having secured Ange-Yoan Bonny from Parma and trusting young talent Pio Esposito.
It's no secret that Milan are looking for a big, physical striker for new coach Max Allegri, and Højlund would be the right choice.
He has experience in Serie A with Atalanta, although he only spent one year in Bergamo before being sold to Manchester United in 2023 for €77.8m plus bonuses.
Højlund has struggled to secure minutes at Old Trafford, where he scored 10 goals and provided four assists in 52 official appearances last season.
If Milan were to finalize this deal, the transfer would be made on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season.
