Professor of law and international relations at the University of Pristina "Hasan Prishtina", Enver Hasani, says he is awaiting an interview by the Prosecution, following the reopening of investigations into his claims that the dean of the Faculty of Law, Avni Puka, has a forged international doctoral diploma, and also that he plagiarized another doctoral thesis at UP.

Hasani insists that he has evidence for these claims.

"The next day, when the prosecutor ordered the opening and reopening of the investigations, I realized that they were closed, that there is nowhere else in the world like this, if you were a public whistleblower and no one would call you and see the evidence you have. I have the evidence and I don't even discuss it, that is, that it proves what I have said every time, that is, that he never did a doctorate at La Sapienza, he never has a doctorate as he told all of us, as he said in the report when he won the academic title of associate professor, that he does. Today I was also live and I have the evidence in writing from La Sapienza and I have it saved. That matter will certainly be clarified," he says.

KP has also attempted to obtain a position from Dean Puka regarding Hasan's claims, but he has not yet provided any comment or response.

Hasani, meanwhile, is also critical of the Prosecution, which, according to him, closed the case after the first complaint. He even asks the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council to take measures against the prosecutor who handled his case.

"I informed him, he was not a lawyer, it was terrible. A prosecutor had completed criminalistics at Vama and I don't know how he passed the jurisprudence exam and became a lawyer, a prosecutor. And I think that the prosecution and this company of mine, that is, they have the KPK, the bodies that discipline them, should take measures, because it is not possible, because it is not a problem of a diploma today. He will close the murder, drug and organized crime case tomorrow. There was also incompetence, as is clear, that he is not a lawyer. The way he closed it was shameful. And I am waiting now, I am waiting to give my evidence, my statements and I am optimistic that this matter will finally be clarified", he declared.

Former President of the Constitutional Court and Professor Hasani, on June 19, 2023, via e-mail, had presented his suspicions to the Prosecution that Puka had committed the criminal offenses of "Fraud" under Article 323 of the Criminal Code and "Forgery of Documents" under Article 390 of the Criminal Code.

According to Hasani, the Dean of Law lied about having completed his doctorate at the Faculty of Law at the "La Sapienza" University in Rome, Italy, while he said that Puka plagiarized the doctoral thesis he completed at UP.
