AAK Chairman Ramush Haradinaj and this party's candidate for prime minister, Ardian Gjini, could not contain their emotions as they participated in the anniversary of the martyrs' fall in Jabllanicë, Gjakova.
Haradinaj and Gjini were seen with tears in their eyes, in a video published by Indeksonline.
Haradinaj wrote on Facebook that "the great victory of the Kosovo Liberation Army, on May 17, 1999 in Albania, became a national testament to the defense of the honor of the Homeland. This victory was reflected throughout the country and within a few weeks Kosovo became free."
"While today we marked Liberation Day, we remembered its Epic and honored the most deserving, the men and women who rest in the Eagle Memorial Complex, who remain our guide in every commitment we make for the Kosovo that the fallen dreamed of for generations," he wrote.
