Barcelona coach Hansi Flick has planned an extremely tough training regime to prepare the team for the 2025/26 season.
La Blaugrana, who missed out on the FIFA Club World Cup this summer, have benefited from the break and are fresh for the coming months. The team has already returned to physical tests and, after a training camp in Catalonia, will depart for the summer tournament at the end of the month.
According to Diario Sport, Flick will subject the players to intensive physical tests without breaks during sessions at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper training center. Starting today, the first week will feature 10 training sessions, with no days off.
The plan includes two sessions per day for three days, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, spread out to avoid the hottest hours of the day. Later, sessions will take place only in the morning, before the departure for Japan.
Barcelona's summer tour schedule:
July 24: Arrival in Japan and start of training.
July 27: Friendly against Vissel Kobe.
July 31: Match in South Korea against FC Seoul.
August 4: Face-off with Daegu FC.
After these matches, Barça will return to Spain for the final preparations of the pre-season, which will culminate with the Joan Gamper Trophy on August 10, although the opponent has not yet been confirmed.
Due to delays in the renovation of the Camp Nou, Barça will play their first three La Liga matches away, against Mallorca, Levante and Rayo Vallecano. The club hopes to return home after the first international break in September./Express newspaper/
