The leader and candidate for prime minister of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Bedri Hamza, has MEET today hundreds of health professionals from across the country, where he emphasized that health will be one of the main priorities of the government led by him.

Hamza said that Kosovo is facing a deep economic and social crisis, which is being directly reflected in the health sector, among professionals and among citizens.

"When the health system does not function properly, the consequences are not measured only by statistics. They are measured by the anxiety of families, the long waits, the lack of medicines, the fatigue of doctors and nurses, citizens who pay more and more out of their own pockets, and young people who are leaving the country," said Hamza.

He emphasized that health professionals will be key partners in transforming the health system and promised investments in modern infrastructure, better salaries, medical equipment, expansion of services, and better working conditions for staff.

"After June 7, healthcare will be a national priority of our government. Not just in words, but in investments, with better salaries, concrete reforms and support for healthcare professionals. Citizens need a system that works for them," declared the PDK leader.

Hamza said that a state that invests in healthcare invests in the lives and security of its citizens.

"Therefore, on June 7, let's make a difference together. For healthcare professionals. For patients. For our families. For a Kosovo that deserves more. Let's stop the crisis. Let's restore dignity. Let's change both healthcare and Kosovo," he added.

Meanwhile, PDK candidate for deputy and former Minister of Health, Uran Ismaili, said that the public health sector is facing continuous degradation and a lack of institutional support.

"Today, our responsibility is clear: to say STOP to this crisis. STOP to healthcare negligence. STOP to a system that is exhausting patients and driving doctors away. And together, on June 7, let's choose change," Ismaili declared.
