Manchester City host Aston Villa in the final week of the Premier League, in what will be Pep Guardiola's final match as City manager.
City ultimately lost the title race after a 1-1 draw with Bournemouth, a result that gave Arsenal the Premier League trophy. For the first time during his time in Manchester, Guardiola failed to win back-to-back league titles.
After an incredible decade and 20 trophies, the Spanish coach will be looking to end his adventure with a win. The statistics are in City's favour, having won the final league game in eight of his nine seasons in charge.
This match will also be a farewell for John Stones and Bernardo Silva, who are expected to leave the club. City come into this match on a 15-match unbeaten run in the Premier League.
Aston Villa, on the other hand, travel to Manchester with high morale, after a 3-0 triumph over Freiburg and winning the Europa League, the first major European trophy for the club since the 1981/82 season.
Unai Emery's side are looking to spoil Guardiola's farewell celebration, but their form on the road has not been promising. Villa have not won in their last six away league games.
History clearly favors Manchester City, who have won 19 of their last 20 home games against Aston Villa in the Premier League, including 15 consecutive wins.
Bernardo Silva will aim to end his City career with a goal, while at Villa the main threat remains Ollie Watkins, who has six goal contributions in the last four games. /Express newspaper/
