Civil Emergencies in Greece have warned of very high risk even today, due to extreme temperatures that exceed 40 degrees Celsius.
The scorching temperatures are also being felt in Greece. The neighboring country is suffering from numerous fires that have broken out in all four corners of the country.
According to Greek media, the most problematic situation is in Kefalonia, Zakynthos, Fokida and Vonitsa.
Authorities have sent SMS messages to the phones of residents of these areas, informing them of the dangerous situation and asking them to evacuate.
Numerous firefighting forces are operating from the ground, while planes and helicopters are dropping water from the air to neutralize the fires.
The flames are also being fanned by strong winds.
