Kosovo does not deserve this treatment, neither from internal nor external factors. The suffering of our people has been too severe for us to experiment today and violate the trust earned by our allies.
Anyone who knows history knows what happened to our nation, with the Treaty of San Stefano, the Congress of Berlin, the London Conference, the Paris Peace Conference and even Rambouillet. Creating alliances and reading geopolitics correctly is not an easy task. Every misreading costs nations and peoples, while regimes are left with the stamp of incompetence and even betrayal.
Kosovo and its people have gone through too much to question the alliances and history created since 1981. Kosovo's transition from a scorched earth in June 1999 to a state with a stable democracy, with over 115 recognitions and all state institutions and parameters, is the merit of our citizens and allies.
Today, any tendency to diminish the essential role of EU countries and the US in the state formation and state building of the Republic of Kosovo is more than a misfortune. When the political illiterates within the parties talk about alliances, politics and misread democracy, it is not only the party that sees the problem, but the whole of Kosovo.
The naive and the talkative may be silent and forgotten, but it creates damage and an ungrateful gap towards the allies who recognize our deeds, bravery, abilities and stupidity. May God protect the people with the historic alliances created by the late and brave patriots after the war.
