The third stage of the "Giro d'Italia 2025", in the form of a ring starting from Vlora and finishing in the coastal city, was won by Mads Pedersen.
The Dane reclaimed the pink jersey from the favorite to win this edition, Primoz Roglic, who now has a nine-second gap to the leader.
He won the final sprint, followed by Strong and Aular, as ten cyclists finished the race at the same time, with ten Italians finishing in the top 15.
""That was the plan. To control the pace, to position ourselves well and to have the chance to win the sprint. We achieved our objectives with two stage wins and to take the pink jersey again.", said Pedersen.
The third stage, which passed through Kotë to Qeparo and described the entire Vlora Riviera, was exciting.
Unlike the first two stages, fortunately no accidents were recorded, although a goat that broke away from the herd endangered cyclist Dion Smith, as the large group passed, writes Klan.
With the finish in Vlora, the historic presence of the "Giro d'italia 2025" also came to an end.
The cyclists will rest for 24 hours, before moving on to Italy, where the 189-kilometer fourth stage will take place on Tuesday, from Alberobello to Lecce.
