Hundreds of flights could be cancelled due to pension dispute
Lufthansa pilots will go on a two-day strike on March 12 and 13, causing significant disruption to the flight network, with the exception of routes from the Middle East, albinfo.ch reports.
The pilots' union, Vereinigung Cockpit, has called for more than 5,000 pilots to take part in a strike, seeking a solution to failed negotiations over the pension system for Lufthansa and Lufthansa Cargo employees. So far, the employers have not offered any new proposals, highlighting the tension between the parties.
