German Foreign Minister Johann Vandeful has again called on Iran to abandon its ballistic missile program, warning that the situation is becoming increasingly urgent.
During a joint press conference in Berlin with his Israeli counterpart, Gideon Saar, he stressed that Tehran should not overestimate its position on the international stage.
"Both Germany and Israel fully share common security interests, and it is increasingly imperative that Iran accepts the offer of negotiations," Vandeful said.
He underlined that in light of recent developments, including the conflict in Ukraine and tensions with Iran, relations between Germany and Israel are entering a new phase of strategic cooperation in the field of security.
According to him, these crises have brought the two countries closer together and strengthened their coordination.
