Barcelona midfielder Gavi is seeing noticeable progress in his recovery following surgery on his right knee, performed following an internal meniscus injury at the end of August.
The 21-year-old, who initially opted for conservative treatment before deciding on surgery, is now training on the Ciutat Esportiva pitches, alongside his teammate Pedri, who is also recovering from an injury.
Coach Hansi Flick and his staff are expected to return Gavi to the main group in the near future, as a preliminary step towards obtaining medical clearance to return to the game, once the midfielder reaches the same level of physical fitness as the rest of the team.
According to the club's recovery program, Gavi could receive medical clearance to play at the end of February, with the coach managing his return carefully, as he has done with Marc Bernal this season. /Express newspaper
