The Kosovo Judo Federation has proudly announced that Olympic champion Nora Gjakova has been officially elected as a member of the International Judo Federation (IJF) Athletes' Commission – a role of particular importance for the future of this sport at a global level.
After an extraordinary career, with Olympic, world and European medals, Nora Gjakova will now make her contribution outside the tatami, in a representative and decision-making role for the international judo community.
In its official announcement, the Federation emphasizes:
“The IJF highly values her experience, perspective and dedication, qualities that will make Nora an exceptional representative for judokas everywhere in the world.”
Through this appointment, Gjakova not only continues to represent Kosovo with dignity, but also takes on a key role in building policies and protecting the interests of athletes at the international level.
