A well-known social media figure has published what he claims is a test model of the iPhone Fold, Apple's first foldable smartphone.
Australian journalist and "leaker" Sonny Dickson posted several photos of the device on the X platform, writing that they are models that show the future dimensions of the iPhone Fold, as well as the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max.
According to the images, the foldable device will have a "book-like" design and a dual-camera system on the back. But user reactions have been mostly critical and harsh.

Some comments on X described the design as unsuccessful, calling it “small,” “expensive,” and even “ugly.” Others expressed disappointment at the lack of harmony in size and design.
Criticism of the design and lack of MagSafe
According to the leaked images, the phone has a wide rectangular display and a dual-lens camera hole on the back. However, there doesn't appear to be support for MagSafe, the magnetic charging system used by Apple.
This has prompted further negative reactions, with some users stating that the lack of this feature would be a "definite no" for them.
Speculation about design and functions
Although there are no official details yet, many fans have begun to create their own concept designs based on these models.
According to reports from Bloomberg analyst Mark Gurman, Apple could introduce its first foldable iPhone in September 2026, alongside the iPhone 18 Pro series. The device is expected to hit the market shortly after the launch, as is usually the case with iPhones.
Unlike competitors like Samsung and Google, Apple aims to differentiate itself by minimizing a common problem with foldable phones: the visible line down the middle of the screen.

According to leaks, the company may use a metal plate for pressure distribution and "liquid metal" material in the folding mechanism to reduce this effect.
Rumored specifications
Unofficial reports suggest that the device may have:
external screen about 5.5 inches
internal screen up to 7.8 inches
thickness about 9 mm when closed
four cameras in total (exterior, rear and interior)
return of Touch ID to the power button, instead of Face ID
Colors, according to these sources, may be limited to white and black.
Price and expectations
The device is expected to be very expensive, with estimates placing it in the $2,000–$2,500 range.
However, Apple has not confirmed any of this information. Company officials have declined to comment on future products, emphasizing that the focus remains only on devices that are currently on the market.
At this stage, the iPhone Fold remains a project shrouded in much speculation – and one of Apple's most anticipated (and most debated) products in the coming years./GazetaExpress/
