His coalition would have reached around 37%, well ahead of the conservative GERB party, led by Boyko Borissov, which would remain at around 16%. Voter turnout is high, over 45%.
Bulgaria's snap elections have left a result with a strong political impact in Europe. Former President Rumen Radev is emerging as the winner after winning exit polls. Radev, a former fighter pilot, resigned as Bulgaria's president in January. He is seen as a friend of Russia, Euronews reported, Gazeta Express reports.
