The country's former Prime Minister, Ramush Haradinaj, now a member of the Kosovo Assembly, has confessed that during his stay in the Hague prison, the Serbs who were being held there congratulated him on his declaration of independence.
Haradinaj confessed that everyone wished the Albanians well for declaring independence, including the Serbs, who he said may not have done so willingly.
"There were occasions when Serbs congratulated us... Croats, Bosnians, Montenegrins congratulated us... But there were also Serbs who congratulated us, perhaps not with joy, but there were," Haradinaj said on the show 1 Kafe with Labin.
"The prison staff have all congratulated us... We even honored them with sweets, we ordered them in advance," Haradinaj added.
