The President of Albania, Bajram Begaj, will also be visiting Kosovo today.
He, like the Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, will be in Pristina today.
Begaj is expected to remain there tomorrow, while the Police have announced how they will resolve the trafficking issue when the Albanian delegation's escort passes through.
"On February 16 and 17, 2026, the President of the Republic of Albania, Mr. Bajram Begaj, will pay an official visit to the Republic of Kosovo. On this occasion, the Kosovo Police, during this visit, will take care of maintaining public order and peace as well as regulating traffic, during the movement of the escort and the stay of the delegation in Kosovo," the announcement states.
Police indicated that there will be temporary traffic disruptions on some road segments.
"To enable the free movement of the escort according to the movement itinerary, arrival on February 16 in the afternoon at the Vërmica border crossing, as well as the development of activities according to the official agenda of the visit until the return on February 17 in the evening, the Kosovo Police will temporarily interrupt traffic flow (in short time intervals) on several road segments (where the escort is expected to pass), where there may be a reorientation of traffic to alternative routes. The Kosovo Police requests full understanding from citizens and traffic participants."
