The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, has welcomed the participants of the European Political Community summit in Yerevan, emphasizing the importance of this meeting for strengthening cooperation on the continent.

Through the announcement in X, he expressed that it is "a great pleasure to welcome colleagues and partners in Yerevan", describing the Armenian capital as the "beating heart of Europe" during this summit.

Pashinyan has also stressed that he expects discussions on key issues and commitments that will lead to stronger and more promising partnerships between the participating countries.

Along with the message, he also published a family photo of the leaders participating in this important international event. Among them are the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, and the Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama.

The European Political Community Summit brings together leaders from across Europe to discuss common challenges and deepen political and economic cooperation in the region. The Summit will be co-chaired by António Costa, President of the European Council, and Nikol Pashinyan, Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia.

48 heads of state and government have been invited to participate in this eighth meeting of the European Political Community.

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney will attend the summit as a guest. This will be the first time a non-European country has attended the meeting. The European Political Community aims to foster political dialogue and cooperation to address issues of common interest and strengthen the security, stability and prosperity of the European continent.

The next summit meeting of the European Political Community will take place in Ireland in November 2026.

Last year, two meetings were held. In May, it was held in Tirana, and in October in Copenhagen, Denmark. At the second, Kosovo was represented by the sixth president, Vjosa Osmani.
