Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has expressed his support "for Iran's right to self-defense" in the conflict with Israel in the Middle East, strongly condemning Israeli attacks and the international silence towards them.
During a meeting of the Justice and Development Party (AK Party) Parliamentary Group in Ankara, Erdogan said that Iran has a legitimate and natural right to defend itself from Israel's "banditry and state terrorism." He sharply criticized the Israeli leadership, noting that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has surpassed even dictator Hitler in his genocidal crimes.
The Turkish president also highlighted the passive role and silence of the United Nations and other international institutions, as well as states that do not react to the violence. He warned that those responsible for the blood of innocent civilians, including children and infants, are not only the aggressors, but also those who remain silent in the face of this violence.
Responding to concerns about regional stability, Erdogan said Turkey is closely monitoring developments and is fully prepared for the consequences that Israeli attacks on Iran could have in the region. He added that Turkish authorities have made and are making preparations for any possible negative scenario.
This stance by President Erdogan reflects rising tensions in the Middle East, as Israel intensifies attacks on Iran and its allies in the region.
