A brief comment by Elon Musk about Jesus has sparked waves of speculation on social media.
The billionaire responded last week to a post asking who would "evangelize Elon Musk" with a simple answer:
“I agree with the teachings of Jesus.”
The comments sparked mixed reactions on X (formerly Twitter), with some noting Musk's openness to the faith, while others interpreted it as a possible signal of an upcoming announcement or revelation.
One user wrote:
“Something very, very bad is coming for him,”
while others defended Musk, calling these speculations unfounded.

Another commenter said:
"Every time someone appreciates Jesus' teachings on love and truth, cynics fuel theories of some hidden scandal."
In recent years, Musk has been sharing more about his spiritual journey. In 2022, he wrote on X:
“Jesus taught love, kindness, and forgiveness. I thought turning the other cheek was weakness and foolishness, but I was foolish not to appreciate the profound wisdom of this teaching.”
In December of that same year, during a podcast, he added that he believes in the existence of God:
"I believe this universe came from something. People use different labels for God."
His mother, Maye Musk, shared the post and spoke about the family's religious background:
“My three children were baptized in the Methodist Church. I taught them in Episcopal Sunday school. I went to Protestant Sunday school myself and was married to a Christian minister. We were taught to love everyone.”
Musk's spiritual journey has been long and complex. He has said that he lost his religious faith around the age of 14, after he began to question the meaning of life and the universe. At that time, he felt insecure, depressed, and was often called an atheist or agnostic.
In 2013, he told actor Rainn Wilson that, while there are things we don't understand about the universe, he was "less convinced that there's some superconsciousness that follows our every move and decides our fate after death. I think that's impossible."
In 2022 and 2023, Musk began to express himself more in line with Christian principles, although he remained non-religious. He said:
“I would say that I generally agree with the teachings of Christianity, but I am not religious.”
On several occasions, he has jokingly noted that he is "okay to go to hell," indicating a liberated or disengaged attitude.
He has often emphasized the ethical and moral aspects of Jesus, not his religious devotion. In a 2024 interview with Jordan Peters, Musk said:
“I'm not a particularly religious person, but I believe that Jesus' teachings are good and wise.”
He added that he is a "great believer in the principles of Christianity," like loving your neighbor and turning the other cheek.
A year later, Musk reflected on the origin of the universe and the concept of God:
“I’m open to the idea of God… If you ask where the universe came from, where it was created? I suppose there has to be an entity that you could call God.”
He described his approach as proportional to the evidence:
“I am open to believing things according to the information I receive,” emphasizing a “physical view of reality” rather than a strong religious belief.
Musk's recent comments reignite the discussion about his evolving relationship with faith. While he has always shown curiosity and ethical appreciation for religious teachings, his statements continue to draw attention for their combination of spiritual reflection and public ambiguity.
Social media users continue to debate whether these comments indicate a deep personal revelation or simply reflect Musk's ongoing exploration of philosophical and ethical issues. /GazetaExpress/
