Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has declared that any attempt by the US or Israel to force Iran to "surrender" is "destined to fail and that the Iranian people will never accept such an approach."
Speaking at a meeting with emergency services officials in Tehran on Wednesday, Pezeshkian said Tehran is not seeking war or instability.
Instead, the president said that "Iran has always emphasized the need for talks and constructive interactions with various countries."
His statements come after Trump said US-Iran talks could resume in Pakistan "within two days", but Tehran has yet to respond, writes the BBC.
