Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama said that the Morinë-Vërmicë customs is one of the most successful examples of cooperation between Albania and Kosovo, adding that this customs has significantly facilitated the movement of passengers and reduced customs clearance times for businesses on both sides of the border.
The Ministers of Finance of both countries, Hekuran Murati and Petrit Malaj, went to Morina for a joint visit.
Rama said that their visit confirmed the joint commitment to increasing quality at this border point.
"The Minister of Finance, Petrit Malaj, and the Minister of Finance, Labor and Transfers of Kosovo, Hekuran Murati, during a joint visit to this customs point, confirmed the joint commitment and the increase in the quality of service to guarantee full operation 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, as well as to eliminate any delays."
Rama said that during the period January-May 2025, this customs point has handled an influx of 3 million citizens and 1.1 million vehicles. /Express/
