European Union ambassadors have approved new sanctions against 19 Iranian officials and entities responsible for serious human rights violations, EU foreign policy chief Kaia Kalas said today.
The sanctions, which had begun to be prepared before the start of the war, will need final approval from the EU Council.
Meanwhile, Iranians in Tehran attended the funerals of Iranian military officials killed in attacks, amid the US-Israeli conflict with Iran.
