In an epic Kosovo Super League basketball "Play Off" showdown, Sigal Prishtina achieved a big victory over Trepça after overtime, with a score of 90-83, tying the semifinal series at 1:1.
The match started better for the visiting team from Mitrovica, who dominated the first quarter with a score of 23-13. However, Prishtina reacted strongly in the second period, narrowing the gap and keeping the match open.
Quarter after quarter, the two teams played a very balanced duel, ending the regular time with a tied score, which led to overtime. In the five extra minutes, Prishtina was fresher and more focused, scoring 13 points against only 6 for Trepça, to end the match with a decisive victory.
This victory gives life to the capital team, who now tie the series 1:1 and keep hopes alive for a great comeback. It should be noted that the semi-final format is “best of five” – that is, the team that reaches three wins first qualifies for the grand final of the Super League.
The series will now move to Mitrovica for the third game, where Trepca will look to use the home field advantage to regain the lead in the series, while Prishtina will aim to completely turn the tables and pick up another big win.
