Vetevendosje Movement MP Adnan Rrustemi has spoken about the possibility of LDK leader Lumir Abdixhiku being nominated for president and the possible position of the Vetevendosje Movement on this issue.
He said that every decision in this process depends on political circumstances and that the principles, criteria and standards of the process must first be determined.
"The question is not whether it is acceptable. We need to sit down and discuss the principles of this process, establish criteria and standards, and of course, limitations. These circumstances have not existed before and we are not in the same circumstances," Rrustemi said on the "Info Nata" show on Tëvë1.
He added that the current political situation is not comparable to previous periods.
"Circumstances are important and determine a process. The circumstances are not the same in any way, because they are incomparable," he said.
Rrustemi said that LVV has been ready for cooperation even before, but according to him, LDK has not accepted a coalition agreement.
"We were ready last year. There would have been no need for the December 28 elections if LDK had been ready for a governing coalition. It rejected the coalition," he said.
He added that LVV currently has enough votes to form institutions and that political discussions will continue.
"Currently, in terms of votes, we have enough for the Assembly and the Government. I do not know what the LDK's readiness is for partnership. Discussions will continue with both the LDK and the PDK," said Rrustemi.
