A disgruntled Arsenal fan has claimed he is pursuing legal action against the club after their "unacceptable" performance against Bournemouth.

The Gunners are currently six points ahead of Manchester City in the title race, but suffered a major blow on Saturday, losing 2-1 at home to Bournemouth.

This was the third defeat in four games, a very poor form at a critical moment of the season, as they prepare for important clashes against Sporting Lisbon and Manchester City.

After the match, Kampala fan Eric Kyama declared that he had filed a lawsuit against the club for "emotional stress, anxiety and other damages", publishing an official announcement on the social network "X".

His statement read: "I am writing to you with this notice of my intention to pursue legal action against Arsenal, the first-team players and manager Mikel Arteta following the unacceptable performance against Bournemouth. As a dedicated Ugandan fan, I am bringing this complaint on the grounds of professional negligence, lack of competitive integrity and breach of the implied contract between the club and the global fans."

He added that the performance was characterised by a lack of effort, a lack of tactical ideas and sporting ambition, accusing the players of a "total lack of commitment".

Kyama also criticized coach Arteta for his lack of tactical ability.

"His failure to adapt to the flow of the match left the team directionless and defenseless," he writes.

In the end, he warned that if the club does not provide an official explanation and plan for improvement, he will proceed with further legal steps to seek compensation for psychological consequences and loss of trust.

Meanwhile, Arsenal face a crucial week: they host Sporting Lisbon in the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final and then travel to the Etihad for a crucial clash against Manchester City./Express newspaper/
