The Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo has filed a request with the Basic Court in Pristina - Special Department, for the imposition of a detention order against the defendant AD, under the well-founded suspicion that he committed the criminal offense of "war crime against the civilian population" during 1999, in the village of Ivajë and the surrounding villages of the Municipality of Kaçanik.

According to the request, AD, "in his capacity as a member of the Serbian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MUP) in Ferizaj and a traffic policeman in the Kaçanik region, in complicity with other still unidentified persons of the Serbian police and military forces, on 09.03.1999, during an organized military police action against the Albanian civilian population, forced the residents to leave their homes, which were then burned and destroyed."

Furthermore, the prosecutor's statement states that "ninety-one (91) men were separated from around four hundred (400) gathered men, women, elderly people and children, and were taken to the police station in Kaçanik."

According to the request, of them, “thirteen (13) civilians were detained for the purpose of questioning, during which they were beaten and tortured in a brutal, inhuman, physical and psychological manner by the defendant AD, causing them serious bodily injuries to various parts of the body”, the announcement states.
