At a time when relations between institutions and citizens are often perceived as cold and formal, there are cases when diplomatic representatives manage to create a deeper connection with the community they serve.

In this context, the figure of the Albanian Ambassador to North Macedonia, Denion Meidani, has become a special example of closeness and dedication to Albanians in North Macedonia. Through his engagement in social, educational and sports activities, he has shown that the role of an ambassador can go beyond diplomatic protocol and become a living bridge of connection between the mother country and compatriots.

It is precisely this dimension that author Nafie Selmani addresses in her writing.

Below is the full article by activist Nafie Selmani:

"Denion Meidani, more than an ambassador, a brother to Albanians in the RMV"

The support and dedication of the Albanian ambassador, Denion Meidani, has not stopped. He started with the support for the Albanian children of Nerova, Buteli, Manastir, continued with the support for the students for the jurisprudence exam, while yesterday, at a joint iftar, he also showed support for the footballers of KF "Bashkimi"

But what makes this support special is not just his formal presence at public events. It is the spirit he conveys. A sense of closeness, a spiritual connection that transcends diplomatic protocol. In many cases, ambassadors remain distant figures, limited to ceremonial and formal declarations. With Denion, it is different. He is among the people, close to us, as if he were a family member, just like a brother among sisters and brothers.

I don't remember another Albanian ambassador becoming so familiar with Albanians in the Republic of Macedonia, treating them not simply as compatriots outside the state border, but as part of the same spirit and the same sense of belonging. Denioni gives us the feeling that the mother country is not far away, but close, at every moment when Albanians need moral and institutional support.

Therefore, without any exaggeration, Denioni fully deserves the title of an ambassador who represents not only a state, but also a living spiritual connection between Albanians.

"I am sorry that the Vlenists, better known as "vredists", consider this support as daily politics, while those of the "minibus" party, Alternativa, may be hindered by this brotherly approach of Denion. But they must understand one simple thing: not every Albanian forgets that he is Albanian, and not every Albanian does not feel Albanian," Selmani wrote.
