The weekend we left behind brought another vitality to Pristina. Under the spring sun, within two days, more than a thousand citizens became an active part of experiencing the unique events of Binance, the largest cryptocurrency exchange in the world by trading volume and number of users, which combined music, kebabs, games and socializing with an increasingly topical topic: cryptocurrencies.
In the center of Prishtina on Saturday and in Gërmi on Sunday, the Binance truck became a meeting point for people of all ages and professions. The atmosphere was lively and the spaces were constantly full of visitors. Music, interactive games and live conversations with Binance representatives created an open and close environment for everyone. Over a thousand participants tried the games offered and were rewarded with promotional products, while also receiving unique gifts as part of the experience.
Donjeta, 39, came with her young son. She said she didn't know much about cryptocurrencies before, but her son's interest in the technology prompted her to stop by the Binance truck. According to her, it was a good opportunity for the two of them to learn more about a field that is becoming increasingly important in the current times.
Meanwhile, Gentriti, 27, said he attended for the opportunity to learn about investing in cryptocurrencies. He said he sees this as an opportunity to invest in the future and added that there should be more such events from Binance. “There should be broader investments from all state actors in this branch of the economy because it is an inseparable part of the future of currencies. Personally, today I have a greater interest also because many of my friends and family are involved in crypto,” he added.
For Urata, 25, it all started by chance. She was drawn in by the atmosphere and decided to stop, but ended up becoming an active part of the event. Urata registered on the Binance platform and said that, before this experience, it had seemed like an unknown and complicated world to her. After talking to the team, she realized that information can be started step by step and that there are resources, including Binance Academy, that make this process easier.
The large turnout over the two days and the interest of citizens of different ages showed that the topic of cryptocurrencies is attracting increasing attention from the wider public in Kosovo.
