The death of Enver Bajraktari from the village of Baicë in Lipjan has shocked his family and public opinion. He was reported missing by his family the day before, and was later found with no signs of life and buried two meters deep.
The victim's cousin, Avni Bajraktari, said in the "Special Edition" on Klan Kosova that Enver had taken his cow to graze in the fields before disappearing.
Until it became known that on Saturday he had gone by bus to Tirana to meet his sons who had arrived from France and Italy.
"I first went to a bar where we go every morning for coffee, I met a neighbor and he said, 'Did you find Veli?' He said, 'No, Veli hasn't.' I called my other cousin, Besart, who said he disappeared since yesterday. They called the police drone. We went all the way down, everything was fine. I was with my brother Temin and another neighbor, when we went a little bit down, at the exit from the market, he said something went like this. And we followed the trail and found the place. The police units were with us nonstop," said Avni Bajraktari.
His family members have stated that Enver had no problems or conflicts with any particular person.
The Police and the State Prosecution have launched investigations to uncover the circumstances of this suspicious death. According to information obtained by Klan Kosova, the victim was found by his family, buried several meters underground in a cornfield. The group searching for Enver managed to find the place where he was buried, following signs that he had been dragged there.
Kosovo Police have confirmed the case, describing it as a suspected case of aggravated murder. The spokesperson for the Pristina Region Police, Florie Ahmeti, announced that a buried body was found at around 12:00.
"On Monday at around 12:00, in the village of Baicë in Lipjan, a dead body (still unidentified) was found buried. Police investigators in coordination with the prosecution have initiated procedural actions, while the body has been sent to the Institute of Forensic Medicine for autopsy and identification. Based on the initial circumstances, a serious murder is suspected. Currently, investigators are working to fully clarify the incident and identify the victim," said Ahmeti.
